Registration is now in progress!!

I can't believe it's August already.  We have begun registration and many of our returning students have been by to choose their classes.  Our new students have been a delight to meet and are eager to begin classes.

Our classes are filling quickly, so make sure you come by to reserve your spot in the classes.  Theatre Dance seems to be the most popular with all of our students.  We have great ideas for these classes this year.  I can't wait to share them with you.

Classes begin Tuesday, September 7, 2010..... the same day school begins :(

I can't wait to see all of you.....bring your dance shoes and your happy smiles and we will begin with fun, exciting dance combinations and new skills to begin mastery.

Oh My Goodness, Summer is finally here, and wow is it HOT!!!  Why not come by and schedule your fall dance classes in the air conditioning.  We can catch up on what's been going on since we saw you last in April.  I know most of you are going on vacations, or have already been, I would love to hear about them.

The Sparkling Stars went to Myrtle Beach, SC the end of June and did a wonderful job with their numbers at a competition that was very difficult to qualify for and to place.  All of our numbers brought home a 2nd place trophy and one third place trophy.  Starlight Studios is so very proud of each of our girls.

While there we also took intense classes in ballet, jazz, hip hop, tap and theatre dance.  Each member brought home a new meaning of dance and the hard work that makes great dancers.  They stayed relentless in finishing each and every number, difficult as they were.

Our fall registration has begun, and there have been many students coming by to pick their classes.  We are here Monday through Thursday each week from 5 - 7 p.m.  We are here waiting to assist you with your questions and evaluations of your child.  Our cirriculum has changed a little to make it the best year yet at Starlight.  Come by any evening to see our new and exciting changes to our classes and to the studios.  But be ready, it's gonna make you say "WOW"!!

This year we are adding Zumba and Clogging to our schedule.  The Zumba class will meet for 6 week sessions.  Zumba will be taught by Alisha Keeler, a certified instructor, who also teaches at America Family Fittness.  We welcome her to our Starlight Family.

Megan Davis will be teaching Clogging for us this year.  Megan has danced her whole life and her love for tap has led her to learn a new form while at Radford University.  She has mastered clogging and would like to share it with you.  It's fun and great exercise.  Megan will make you smile through the entire class, you won't believe how quick the time will go.

So hang in there, have a great rest of the summer because it will be over before we know it....and dance classes will begin sooner than you think.
